Of course the obsession with Dhoti pants has multiplied infinitely in the past few years all over the world. The global obsession has really put Indian trends on the map and we stand as proud reps of this fad. It is already difficult to find a pair of Dhoti pants that are flattering and are made of a great material that flows instead of sticks out (like cotton). But when you do find them there are endless ways to wear the one piece of clothing! It almost becomes a staple in your wardrobe to either dress up with heels and sparkle or down with flats and a denim jacket (like we did here). Needless to say, we will be styling these pants in many different ways now that the weather is warmer.
As you saw from Dipti’s recent India trip, she went on a little shopping spree (she also picked this one up.) We usually will come back with tons of outfits every time we go and end up with closets full of them, only to realize we are wearing them once or twice and then we are over them. However, this time, Dipti realized the key to productive shopping in India means picking up a select few items that are super unique and that we could all get multiple uses out of. One of these outfits was this gorgeous black and gold number. With solid black dhoti pants and a gold embroidered vest, it makes for a statement piece that can be dressed up or down. Paired with hot pink lips really brings this look to life. Thoughts??
