DIY Frames with an Indian Touch

indianframes1

As you all know, we love easy DIY projects that add a little spunk to the average look.  Adding a little Indian flare around the house has been Sheena and Nina’s latest project! Nina bought fabric a while back to make outfits for Naya and Niva (we’ll be sharing those pictures shortly too). She had a bit of left over fabric and was so in love with the colors and patterns that she decided to put that fabric in frames! It was something so simple yet the end product was gorgeous and elegant!

Make sure the fabric you pick has Indian flare to it – in this sari it was the color scheme and the round design. The Ribba frames are from Ikea and metal wall words are from Micheals (similar here). We cut different parts of the fabric to fit the frame and put the words against the glass part of the frame. That’s it!
