Baby's First Year in Onesies

Raising Baby is sharing great gift ideas for a baby shower, a new baby arrival, or just a fun DIY for the arrival of your little one! Sheena is a DIY fanatic and loves creating gifts, decor, invitations, etc. that are “outside the box” – of course with a little help from sites like Pinterest. Nina’s sister-in-law, Meeta, was pregnant with her first child, a baby boy, and Sheena couldn’t wait to make these bodysuits for Meeta and her little guy! STEPS

Print 1-6 months template and 7-12 months templates on transfer paper (she used Jet Pro transfer paper and Tie design was bought from this Etsy Shop). (Make sure they are mirror images.)
Using a paper slicer, cut the ties out into individual ties.
Make sure to have solid-colored onesies (we prefer white) in the following quantity and size. (three – 3 month onesies, three – 6 month onesies, three – 9 month onesies and three – twelve month onesies – pictured above are Carters onesies)
Cut out ties, leaving a small white border around each.
Place the first month’s tie face down on the front of the smallest size shirt (make sure the top of the tie is two fingers wide away from the neckline of the onesie).
Place two towels on the floor and using a dry iron on the hottest setting, iron the back of the design with firm pressure for 30 seconds with the tip of the soleplate facing the bottom of the onesie. Turn iron so tip of soleplate is facing opposite direction and iron for another 30 seconds.
Peel off transfer paper immediately. Stretch design outward in direction of fabric grain to soften the transfer.
Repeat for each month, ironing the designs onto the appropriate size shirts in size and number order.
To package, lay each shirt face down on table and fold as pictured above.
Lay tissue into the gift box (she purchased this gift box at Amazing Savings)
Place all folded/rolled shirts in gift box with design facing upwards.
