Sheena is our DIY queen. She would much rather create her own version of something than buy it ready-made. Of course, that doesn’t always bode well for Samir! Sheena has filled their basement storage room with arts and craft supplies and you can always find little tid bits here and there around the house. One her favorite DIY projects is creating invitation cards! She has made many to date, but we are sharing her top three with you all. She custom made casino royale themed invitations for our dad’s 60th birthday celebration (pictured above). You can see more DIY details from that celebration here. She also made custom “Alice In Wonderland” themed invitation cards for our cousin’s bridal shower (pictured below). And her personal favorite – she custom made her own baby shower invitation cards for when she was pregnant with her twin boys. She loves every minute of her projects so much and we’re secretly convinced Samir loves them too! What do you think of these creations?

Dad’s 60th Birthday Invitations:
- Base Card – Michaels
- Glued mini playing cards on the pocket of invitation card
- Printed text and blank dice on invitation card (the 60 in a light grey color so you can trace over with glitter pen)
- Used red glitter pen to draw in dots on dice
- Stuck a small glitter heart sticker at end of title
Krishna’s Bridal Shower Invitations:
- Base Card – Michaels
- Stacked Tea Cups Digital Stamp – Pink Cat Studio – printed on cardstock and cut out individually – glued to card
- 2.5″ and 2″ scallop punched circles with title glued to pocket of invitation
- Printed text and images onto invitation card
Sheena’s Baby Shower Invitations:
- Card Cutout tutorial here
- Stamped two monkeys swinging and colored in with brown color pencil
- Created diaper holder out of fabric and toy safety pin and glued to inside of invitation card
- Printed text on paper, cut accordingly and inserted into the diaper holder along with registry card
